Day 2

Today we enjoyed our usual church meetings with some wonderful lessons and talks given about the pioneers. Today is the day the pioneers officially settled in Utah, and I will admit I gained a new respect for them. They experienced hardships I can't even begin to imagine.

Tonight we enjoyed a lovely walk through the neighborhood.
And tonight we properly celebrated Pioneer day by playing with sparklers. Bella wanted to play, but the sounds of nearby fireworks kept her inside with Grandma.

We may have had a little too much fun.

Oh, and our rainbow trout tasted delicious!

Day 1 & 1/2

Bella had us all dying with these new faces she was pulling!!!

Finishing up the day, we enjoyed a meal at the delicious Wingers (which is going out of business, btw. Sad!), then went fishing for Sunday dinner at a local trout farm.

Isabelle and mom had too much laughing "gas".

All geared up and ready to fish!

Fish food. Bella's favorite was to toss it in, causing a frenzy among our fellow fish.

Fearless Isabelle would grab these fish and dehook them without even blinking.

This 16-year-old is the daughter of the owner, and has been gutting and filleting fish for 8 years. She's a seasoned pro! We were all fascinated with every detail and asked every question in the book.
We totaled 7 fish and plan to enjoy them for Sunday dinner. Yum!
