Wow...
Before I get into the exciting hospital details, I just need to say one thing. Wow.
Ok, fine...I need to say a few more things...
When I look at Bella, it's literally like a glimpse of heaven. I look at her and feel so much love that it's overwhelming!! I really didn't know it was possible to love someone this intensely! I feel on top of the world. Ty and I have never known such joy until she came into our lives and we are enjoying every minute!!
As for the hospital experience, I had a great one! Awesome nurses, awesome epidural, and a few laughs here and there. Here's the breakdown of events:
Sunday
600pm - admitted and began induction with cerbidil
Monday
700am - officially began induction with pitocin
800am - got epidural (yipeeeee)
130pm - dialated to a 5
300pm - dialated to a 10
500pm - started pushing
530pm - Bella arrived!!!
My legs were so numb from the epidural that after my doctor delivered Bella, one of my legs sort of slipped out of the stirrup and as the doctor was bending down, landed right on his head! I will never forget the look of surprise on his face as he slowly stood up, glasses crooked and halfway down his face, and his hospital hat covering his eyes - I wasn't sure if I should apologize for my clumsy, numb leg, or just laugh! It was memorable to say the least.
Bella is doing so well!! She latched right on and is a great eater! She burps like a man and everything she does make us ga-ga. The first night home we weren't exactly sure what we were doing, so we were pretty exhausted the next day. Last night was much better though. We got some tips on what might help and we actually slept a few consecutive hours!! Yipee!!
My mom went home this morning...She has been the biggest help these past 10 days!!! I will miss her and can't wait to have her back next month!! Thank you so much mom! Ty and I are so grateful for you!! :0)
We are so happy! We love our little Bella!
