Bed Rest

Well, it looks like I'm on bed rest for a week! Yipee!!
I noticed some bleeding 2 nights ago and went to the hospital to get things checked out. Baby looked fine and so did I, according to the RN. I met with my doctor the next morning and he said my cervix is thinning and the baby is really low in my pelvis, so he's concerned I'm at risk for pre-term labor! Awesome news right?
We had to cancel plans to go to St. George this weekend with some friends, and I had to take off work for a week. Needless to say, I am disappointed! Ty on the other hand seems to think this is fun! He says he's excited to feed me, prop me up with pillows, and entertain me with whatever I request. He even suggested that I need a bell to ring for when I need him! Boy, is he a keeper or what.
So if you find yourself feeling bored this week, please feel free to call or email me! I have Ty's laptop to play on, and I will have many endless hours to fill! I hope this is my only week of bed rest and that everything can be normal after this!!

30 Weeks

Yeehaww grandma! Just bouncin' right along! 10 more weeks and we're PARENTS! ... i know...scary, right? I often find myself daydreaming about how life will be different, and it's fun!!

We've been organizing and cleaning out the guest bedroom for the little one, and so far there is one less dresser and a corner free of food storage. Baby's room still has bunk beds, 2 mountain bikes, water storage, and a closet full of shinanigans... We'll be ready in 10 weeks - YEAH RIGHT!

As for names, we like Addison Mae (which started out as a joke, because it's piglatin for Madison [my sister's name]), Zoe Jade (we know a bunch of Zoe's), and Emma Lynn (probably too confusing with an Emily already in the house). Each has it's issues, but so far those are at the top of the list! Need more time!!! Ahh!

28 Weeks!

I look more prego with the shirt down! More flattering than the bare white belly in my opinion.

Time is flying! - With 12 more weeks to go, I'm not sure it's really hit me yet...We're gonna be parents!! AHH!!! I think this little monkey has learned to jump rope with the umbilical cord or something, cuz she's CrAzY! My entire belly moves now, instead of it being in just one spot. It's SOO cool!! Ty likes to feel her bounce around, too!!

Choosing a name has been interesting. I have found that sharing your 'potentials' with people, most of the time, ruins the names that you think are darling. Has anyone else experienced that? So for everyone's info, if I like the name Helga, just tell me what a sweet name it is and leave it at that! ha ha!!

Here is a cute video I got from my 26 week visit. It's a pretty clear front view of her face...kinda fun!

26 Weeks

Baby stuff ROCKS!!! I was kind of dreading the whole process of registering... picking the safest this and the cutest that, but I found that it's actually quite fun! At first, all of the options were a little intimidating, but it's really cool!

I went into BabiesRus yesterday and had a blast with the registry gun!! I think I was even a little overzealous to one employee who was helping a couple with strollers - I just butted in and with my registry laser gun (in BuzzLightyear fashion), I asked if I could "have" the stroller she was showing them. It was one of those moments where you wished the words would stop as they were leaving your mouth. Yeah ... it looked like a really cool stroller though. I am sure the employee made her sale for the night!

As for other news, Ty and I just started looking at houses! We thought, what the heck?! Why not see what's out there! We could stay in the condo, but we'd rather not make our junk room the baby room, if possible. So that should be a fun treasure hunt! Wish us luck!

Also, we are officially called back into primary, since the ward boundary realignment a month ago. I think our 'grown-up' social skills are fading into the darkness with working with 5-year-olds! And ya know what... it's GREAT! When I think about complaining, I remember that in Sunday School and Relief Society, you don't get to sing 'wiggle songs' and be silly! Who cares if the only people I associate with at church still pick their noses and don't eat their vegetables!
Neither do I!

And that's all I have to say about that.
